Phishing for Your Love

(A Love Poem with a Cybersecurity Twist)

Oh darling, my sweetest, my heart’s gentle light,
You entered my inbox and made my world bright.
A message so charming, so warm and so bold,
With whispers of romance—and riches untold.

“Click here, my dearest! A gift just for you!”
With trembling fingers, I thought it was true.
A prince in distress? A prize I had won?
Or a lover just waiting, our fate had begun?

Yet something felt eerie, a shadow so sly,
The way that your email had no real reply.
Your grammar was broken, your name slightly changed,
Oh, could it be love… or was it arranged?

You asked for my secrets, my numbers, my past,
My passwords, my PINs—oh, you moved much too fast!
Like a thief wrapped in roses, so sweet yet untrue,
My darling, my stranger—was this really you?

I stopped in my tracks, I checked with great care,
And found that your love was not truly there.
A fraud in disguise, a trick of the net,
A phishing attempt I’ll never forget!

So lovers, be cautious, don’t fall for the bait,
A scammer’s embrace may feel like your fate.
Check the address, the links, and beware,
For true love, my dear, is built on real care.

💌 Lesson: Phishing emails pretend to be from trusted sources to trick you into giving personal information! Always check email addresses, hover over links before clicking, and never share sensitive details with strangers. Keep your heart—and your data—safe! 💖
